Set in 10 acres of landscaped grounds, Homewood Park Hotel & Spa in Hinton Charterhouse, near Bath is an award-winning, 21-bedroom, two AA rosettes, Georgian country house hotel.
The hotel has its own spa in the grounds featuring a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and heated outside swimming pool with fabulous views over the gardens which have won first prize in the Bath in Bloom competition no fewer than seven times.
Homewood Parks Lime Restaurant serves the finest in modern English cuisine and has been voted Country Restaurant of the Year in the Good Food Guide.
The hotel also provides luxurious facilities for weddings, corporate functions and other tailor-made events. Longleat plan to invest a significant sum over the next six months to further improve the facilities at the hotel.
The acquisition comes just over a week after Longleat Enterprises Ltd bought The Bishopstrow House and Spa Hotel in Warminster, Wiltshire.
Longleat Safari & Adventure Park welcomes more than a million visitors every year and 43% of visitors are on an overnight stop. The acquisition of this second hotel by Longleat Enterprises Limited is a logical strategic acquisition as the visitors to Longleat now have a choice of two nearby luxurious hotels at which they can enjoy their stay.
David Bradley, CEO of Longleat said: We are extremely pleased to be able to officially announce the acquisition of Homewood Park Hotel & Spa.
This is the second strategic purchase we have made in as many weeks in our ongoing programme of acquisitions and investment to cement our position as the number one Safari and Adventure Park in the UK.
Homewood Park further compliments our position as a leading leisure attraction venue and provides our visitors with a second beautiful hotel location and facilities to make their visit to Longleat even more special, he added.
This year, for the first time, Longleat is opening for the Christmas festive season. Running from November 18th until January 2nd, Christmas at Longleat will feature a real Ice Rink, 50-foot Singing Christmas Tree, Santas Grotto and Christmas House Tour which takes in Cinderella, Ebenezer Scrooge, Sleeping Beauty and other fairytale characters.
