Westonbirt Golf Club is to host its 3rd annual Charity Day on Friday 1st July. All profits raised from this year's event will be donated to Parkinson's UK

Westonbirt Golf Club is to host its 3rd annual Charity Day on Friday 1st July. All profits raised from this years event will be donated to Parkinsons UK and it is hoped to match last years total of over 1,500 raised for the Cotswold Care Hospice. At present a cure for Parkinsons remains to be found, with a range of drugs currently the only way to ease this progressive condition.

The event has already been generously supported by Joerns Health Care, the Snooty Fox, Prescott Brewery and Westonbirt Leisure, all thats needed now are the golfers!

A team of four may enter for just 60.00, with individuals welcome at a cost of 17.00 each. The Club will endeavour to put individuals into a compatible team, last year a team of individuals actually won the main event. The entry price includes 18 holes of golf, the chance to win some great prizes and food, with a choice of breakfast for early risers or a chilli for afternoon and evening participants.

Entry is limited to 40 teams and the club hopes to raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile cause. The event will run all day from 08:00am onwards.

The course is located within the grounds of Westonbirt School, almost directly opposite the National

Arboretum and is easily reached, just a minutes drive from the A433.

If you wish to enter a team of friends, colleagues or fellow club members please contact David Paul at dp666@btinternet.com or via 2 Yew Tree Cottages, Cherington, Tetbury, Gloucestershire GL8 8SJ.
