From 2 to 30 September, the Main Gallery at Fisherton Mill will be holding a mixed exhibition entitled Flora and Fauna with images of the natural world captured in both 2D and 3D media by the following eight artists: Christopher Brown, Belinda Crozier, Dennis Fairweather, Parastoo Ganjei, Lindsay Keir, Steve Shaw, Jane Ormes and Paula Vize.
Particular highlights are exhibits by Steve Shaw, Lindsay Keir and Jane Ormes. Steve Shaw aims to imbue his vibrant images of animals, fish and birds with a sense of positivity and beauty. Lindsay Keir transforms every day birds and animals that might be overlooked and gives them presence with her use of mixed media and precious metal leaf. Jane Ormes work boasts endless personality and is instantly recognisable. She produces playful, colourful images, often involving animals in absurd situations. Drawing, patterns and textures are all integral to her work and reflect her background in design. Jane enjoys using large areas of flat bold colour which can be achieved by the screen printing process.
The exhibition is free and open Tuesdays to Fridays from 10am to 5pm and on Saturdays from 9.30am to 5.30pm
