Wiltshire magazine was amongst the invited guests when Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, paid a visit to the North Wiltshire Credit Union shop in Redland, Chippenham, last December, where she met volunteers and Credit Union members who have been helped by the charitys work. Through Credit Union, people on low incomes or with a poor credit history can borrow money at a reasonable rate of interest and save regularly to get their finances sorted out. The Duchess is an active and enthusiastic supporter of Community First, a Wiltshire-based charity that provides practical help and support in a number of areas for local communities throughout the county.
