The Students and Parents of the Kenya 2012 group are going from strength to strength in their fundraising efforts to support a group of Devizes School Students in going to Kenya for one Month next Summer (2012). Whilst in Kenya the Students will be working in a Village and will make a lasting contribution to improving facilities and the economic resilience of that Community. The group also hope to go on an early morning Safari and to climb Mount Kenya. So far in excess of 8,000 has been raised to support the funding of this exciting project all monies raised will part fund the costs incurred by the group whilst a further part of the funds will be invested directly into the host Village in Kenya.

Following on from the success of the Quiz and Curry night earlier this year Kenya 2012 are pleased to announce the following events get them in your diary

Earls of Stoke Live.

On Friday 7th. October at 8pm. in the Main Hall at Devizes School The Earls of Stoke will be performing live. This band is very well known locally (they are a Devizes band) and performs at a number of venues around Wiltshire. Check out their details @ http://www.oamaru.f9.co.uk/

They describe themselves as a four guys and a gal and perform classic rock numbers from artists such as Bowie, Blondie, Free, Thin Lizzie and the Beatles as well as some of their own songs. The Earls of Stoke have very kindly agreed to lay this gig on and all that they ask is that anyone attending makes a donation at the door on the night. All donations will go directly to the Kenya 2012 funds. There will be a fully licensed bar throughout the evening come along and either sit, drink and enjoy or rediscover the rhythm from the past and shake your stuff. This is a really good value evening.
