The Friends of the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum held their 9th Annual Classic and Vintage Motor Show on Sunday 10th July, in the Museum grounds on the outskirts of Calne.

A road run and treasure hunt of around 40 miles was held for the early arrivals on the Saturday evening, followed by a barbeque and live music, with camping facilities available.

The showground was packed on the Sunday with over two hundred and fifty cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles and tractors, along with trade stalls and displays including a working blacksmith and rope maker.

The many visitors were able to spend the day admiring the vehicles and talking to their owners, along with those within the Museum itself, where there are over one hundred vehicles on display. There was also a number of competitions and draws running during the day, along with the chance to purchase tickets for the Friends annual draw to win a 1957 Morris Minor (to be drawn at the Museums annual Mulled Wine Evening on December 3rd).

Awards for all classes were presented at the end of the day by TV and radio personality, Museum Director and President, Chris Serle, who lent his support to the organisers throughout the day.

The organising committee are already looking at ways to build on this years success, for next year.
