The saving grace for the Manor House at Castle Combe has been their new polytunnel, which has helped provide the kitchen with a selection of fruit, vegetables and salads. With the last of the onions being pulled out of the ground, their main focus is now to put everything into place for next spring. With garlic, mushrooms and oriental salads in the pipeline, the kitchen garden has never had so much potential. Now lets hope the weather behaves!
